Atlanta Hawks star guard Trae Young has been selected as an injury replacement for Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game. The announcement was made by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, confirming Young’s addition to Team Chuck.
This marks the fourth NBA All-Star appearance for Young, who is delivering an outstanding season, averaging 23.5 points and leading the league with 11.4 assists per game over 49 contests.
Antetokounmpo, a nine-time NBA All-Star, is sidelined due to a left calf strain, making him unable to compete. He was originally selected for Team Chuck, a squad managed by TNT analyst and basketball legend Charles Barkley.
The 74th NBA All-Star Game is set to take place on Sunday, February 16, at Chase Center in San Francisco. This year, the event will introduce a fresh format—a four-team, three-game mini-tournament, scheduled to air live on TNT at 8 p.m. ET.
