Starting from Saturday, March 1, and continuing until Sunday, March 16, 2025, FIFA will unveil a unique Sonic ID and accompanying visualizer for each Host City, celebrating the fusion of music and sport across 16 consecutive days.
A Groundbreaking Musical Initiative
For the first time in FIFA World Cup™ history, producers from the 16 Host Cities of the 2026 tournament—spanning Canada, Mexico, and the United States—have collaborated to craft exclusive Sonic IDs. These audio identities will blend global football’s widespread appeal with the distinct musical flavors of each Host City, making the event a truly immersive experience.
Music has always played an essential role in the FIFA World Cup™, but for 2026, it will be elevated to new heights. With 48 teams competing in 104 matches across three nations, FIFA aims to create an unforgettable sonic journey that reflects the diversity and cultural vibrancy of the host locations.
Unique Soundscapes Reflecting Local Culture
Each city’s producer has been given the creative freedom to remix the Official FIFA World Cup 26™ Theme, infusing it with their region’s distinctive rhythms and energy. The result is a dynamic and culturally rich anthology that showcases the sounds of the Host Cities.
A Daily Musical Showcase
For 16 days, FIFA will partner with one Host City per day to launch their Sonic ID. This daily unveiling will offer fans a captivating glimpse into the heartbeat of each location, building anticipation for the tournament while celebrating music’s power to unite people worldwide.
